Firstly, welcome to Crossed! I hope you enjoy the site and stick around to join.
Once we get all the rules and regulations out of the way you can move onto the real fun.
So, here goes:
1. Don’t disrespect, bully, insult anybody on this site and please keep the drama in-character. Play nice.
2. No God Modding. Don’t post the actions or reactions of others, otherwise you might aswell be posting with yourself.
3. The above goes for double posting too. If there’s something you need to adjust then click ‘modify’ and make your changes.
4. If you have any trouble, please report it to a member of staff.
5. You must be at least 13 to join this site; a rule set down by Proboards.
6. Try keep your posts and plots PG-13 at most. Some swearing and sexy time when integral to the story is okay, but just don't get graphic, please. I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable. If there's a demand for it I can set up a mature board.
7. Stay active. I know real life can get a little out of hand and if you need to leave the site for a while please post in the Away Board and let us know.
8. When posting, a minimum of 200 words is expected. (once more) Short posts can be hard to work from but if you’re having muse issues that’s totally okay. We all get inspiration blockage now and again.
9. Posts are to be written in third person, past tense. i.e. “She walked...”
10. Please use correct grammar and punctuation. Text speech with no full stops is very confusing to read.
11. There’s no limit to how many threads you can have, just make sure you can keep up with them all.
12. For original characters, you can pretty much have as many as you can handle. But don’t make so many that you’re constantly falling behind. You should be pretty active. Make a new account for each character to keep things nice and tidy.
13. With Canon characters, there is only a limit if staff sees you struggling to keep up or if you're unactive for a long while without any notice. If you can handle the part and do it justice then go for it. Canons are to be very active so only take a big part if you think you’ll be up for it.
14. Nobody can kill another character without their consent. Notify me if a character is going to be killed off.
15. There are no supreme power characters. Everyone has weaknesses so don’t make an over powerful or unbeatable character because, chances are, it won’t be accepted. (with feeling) This goes for Mary Sues and Garry Stus too.
16. No spamming in the Chat Box or anywhere else. If you've got a site to advertise then post in the appropriate place, there's a whole board for it.
17. Signatures should fit in snugly. Don’t make them too big.
18. Enjoy yourself and if there’s absolutely anything troubling you, all members should feel free to PM me.
